Compliance Policy

This policy applies to everyone using the platform: buyers, merchants ordering on behalf of their customers, suppliers, and anyone acting for them. It applies at quotation, at order and at any point afterwards.

Cross-border trade is regulated at both ends. Something legal where a supplier operates can be prohibited where it is going. Where the two disagree, the stricter rule is the one we apply.

We will not source, list, quote or ship any of the following, under any circumstances:

• Weapons, ammunition, their components, and parts or accessories designed for them.
• Explosives, detonators, fireworks and pyrotechnic compositions.
• Narcotics, controlled substances, their precursors, and equipment whose purpose is to produce them.
• Counterfeit goods, unauthorised replicas, and anything bearing a mark the seller is not entitled to use.
• Goods that infringe a third party's trademark, copyright, patent or design right.
• Products of endangered or protected species, including ivory, and any wildlife product traded in breach of CITES.
• Human remains, organs, bodily fluids and tissue.
• Stolen goods, and goods that cannot be shown to have been lawfully acquired.
• Counterfeit currency, forged documents, and instruments designed for fraud.
• Radioactive material and nuclear-related equipment.
• Devices whose primary purpose is unlawful interception, covert surveillance or defeating security controls.
• Child sexual abuse material and any content that sexualises minors.
• Goods whose supply would breach applicable sanctions or export controls.

These can be traded only where the paperwork is genuinely in place at both ends, and we will ask to see it before quoting:

• Dual-use items with a civilian and a military application, including certain electronics, sensors, encryption hardware and machine tools.
• Medicines, medical devices, diagnostics and laboratory reagents.
• Chemicals, batteries above the carrier's threshold, aerosols, paints, solvents and anything classified as dangerous goods for transport.
• Food, food-contact materials, supplements and cosmetics.
• Radio transmitting equipment subject to spectrum approval at the destination.
• Alcohol and tobacco products, and their delivery systems.
• Vehicles, vehicle parts subject to type approval, and machinery requiring conformity assessment.
• Goods requiring a specific import permit, standards certificate or conformity mark in the destination market.

Dangerous goods must be declared before booking. An undeclared hazardous shipment endangers handlers, invalidates insurance and can be destroyed at the border at the shipper's cost.

We do not knowingly deal with a party, a vessel or a destination subject to applicable sanctions, and we do not process a transaction that would breach an export control that applies to the goods.

You confirm, every time you place an order, that neither you nor the end recipient is a sanctioned party, that the goods are not destined for a prohibited end use, and that you are not acting to disguise a party or destination that would otherwise be blocked.

Where a screening result is unclear we hold the order and ask. We would rather delay a shipment than complete one we should not have.

• Payment must come from the account holder or the business named on the order. We do not accept payment from an unrelated third party.
• We do not accept cash, and we do not accept a series of smaller payments arranged to avoid a threshold.
• We may ask about the source of funds, the ownership of a business, or the commercial purpose of an order, and may hold the order until we have an answer.
• Wallet balances are a payment facility for orders on this platform. They are not a stored-value or money-transfer service, and a balance cannot be sent to a third party.

• Check that the goods may lawfully be imported into the destination before you order.
• Hold any import licence, permit or registration the goods require, in the correct name.
• Act as importer of record and pay the duties, taxes and clearance charges, unless a quotation explicitly states DDP.
• Confirm that the certification and labelling you need for your market are stated on the order, rather than assumed.
• Tell us immediately if a shipment you have received turns out to be restricted where it landed.

• Declare goods accurately: description, composition, quantity, value, origin and any hazard classification.
• Supply only what you are entitled to sell, with authorisation letters where you distribute someone else's brand.
• Hold the safety and conformity documentation you claim, and provide the certificates on request.
• Never substitute a component, a grade or a certification without written agreement.
• Tell us at once about a recall, a safety notice or a rights complaint affecting anything you have supplied.

Where we believe this policy has been breached, we may remove a listing, refuse or cancel an order, hold a shipment, suspend an account, refund and unwind a transaction, and report the matter to the relevant authority.

For a breach involving prohibited goods, sanctions or financial crime, we act first and explain afterwards. For anything else, we tell you what we found and give you the chance to answer.

Repeat breaches end the relationship.

If you see a listing, an order or a supplier that breaches this policy, write to us with the SKU or order number, what you believe the problem is, and anything supporting it. We treat compliance reports as urgent and we do not disclose who reported what.
